The newspaper La Nación-Paraguay published a report from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) stating that Paraguay was positioned in the region as the country with the highest export volume in the first quarter of the year.
In year-on-year comparison, export volumes increased by 8.3%, with Paraguay leading with a 27.8% share. This was followed by Argentina with 18.6%, Venezuela with 17.6%, Peru with 6.5%, Brazil with 6.4%, Uruguay with 4.0%, Chile with 2.9% and Colombia with 2.6%.
Thus, Paraguay recorded a significant increase in its shipments abroad, surpassing other countries in the region, due to the increased demand for Paraguayan products, which reflects an improvement in competitiveness and diversification of its exportable supply.
